Beer and Burgers Anyone? - The Whopper Bar, a new concept created by Burger King, plans to open its second location in Miami. Not only will this new concept feature a 'sushi bar-like atmosphere' allowing customers to customize their burgers with 22 different toppings, but The Whopper Bar will also add products by Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors to its menu.

TCBY expands in Maryland & DC - TCBY plans to open 12 to 15 locations in Baltimore and DC in the next 2 years. The selected franchisees will have the option to open a traditional TCBY or a newly expanding self-serve concept. With the new concept, customers will have the option of mixing up to 12 flavors of frozen yogurt and adding between 30 and 50 toppings of their choice.

Blockbuster-Branded Kiosks Headed to Arizona - NCR Corp. announced this week that it will be sending 100 Blockbuster kiosks to Arizona supermarkets. The re-branding doesn't stop there. The company is also re-branding 1,300 units acquired by DVDPlay in December found through out the US and Canada. The company is also making deals to place more Blockbuster kiosks in New York, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Meijers Focuses on Groceries - Meijers, known now for their wide variety of goods, is attempting to downsize and focus on groceries. The Michigan based grocery chain is targeting the Midwest with a new smaller sized concept of about 100,000 square feet. The expanding retail concept will carry ethnic and demographically applicable goods in their smaller stores.

Bloomindale's to Launch New Outlet Concept - Plans were announced to open 4 new Bloomingdale's Outlet concepts in 2010. The expanding retail chain has plans to open the 25,000 square foot locations in Paramus, NJ; Miami, FL; Woodbridge, VA; and Sunrise, FL with additional locations to be opened in 2011.
