J&J Discount owners have operated a successful chain of discount stores in the northeast region of United States and are now bringing their business model to North Texas.

J&J Discount Outlets, DBA $1 Discount World, recently signed the lease for their first North Texas location in Denton's, Denton Center. As J&J's exclusive representative, Daniel Harris presented Denton Center as an ideal location and negotiated lease terms for the store's approximately 4,000 square feet. The discount store's first North Texas space is located next to the center's anchor, Kroger Signature, and features excellent visibility and accessibility. Denton Center is a prominent community retail market located at the NWC of University Drive and North Carroll Boulevard. The power center serves consumers from University of North Texas, Texas Women's University, Denton High School and a significant number of surrounding residents.
