Ross Dress For Less Opens Its 1000th Store

Ross Stores, Inc., the nation's second largest off-price retailer, will celebrate the grand opening of its 1,000th Ross Dress for Less store in North Pleasant Hill on Saturday, July 16th.  Savvy shoppers will find the same styles and brand names they see at department stores for 20 to 60 percent less at the new location in the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center. To celebrate its opening and this significant company milestone, the store is offering all customers a chance to win a $500 shopping spree or one of five $100 shopping sprees from Saturday, July 16th, to Sunday, July 24th.

"Our 1,000th store marks almost 29 years of commitment to bringing unbeatable savings to shoppers," said Gary Cribb, executive vice president, Stores and Loss Prevention for Ross Stores. "The new store will provide East Bay shoppers with a convenient source for great deals on nationally recognized brands."

Mr. Cribb continued, "In honor of our commitment to the Pleasant Hill community, I am pleased to announce that Ross Stores is making a $5,000 donation to the Martinez Boys & Girls Club, as well as a $5,000 donation to the Foundation for Pleasant Hill Education an organization which Pleasant Hill Mayor David Durant holds close to his heart."

With the addition of this location, Ross operates 50 stores in the Bay Area, including nearby locations in Pleasant Hill (157 Crescent Plaza), Walnut Creek and Clayton Valley. All of these locations offer shoppers substantial savings off department store regular prices. Visit www.rossstores.com for other East Bay store locations.
